scuba diving
Ideal area for scuba diving. Easy access by foot (and also by car) to Cala Llobeta, where you can find one of the best preserved posidonia meadows on the Catalan coast, which provides a great biodiversity.
Ideal for initiation dives and for lovers of suabaquatic biology. At about 300 m is the Calafató cove, at its bottom is the famous dolphin cave where you can cross different arches and enjoy the posidonia seabed.
Discover dozens of beaches in the 30km of cliffs along the Ametlla de Mar coast, all of them easily accessible from the beach and with a very interesting sea bed.

It is also possible to visit some of the wrecks that have sunk along the coast by scuba diving, where we can highlight the ship graveyard in front of the port of La Ametlla (between 15 and 35m deep) and the Cavour wreck popularly known as “el correo” for experienced divers.
There are several diving centers operating in this area that organize trips from the beach or by boat, diving courses, biology seminars, and snorkeling trips.
The coast also offers many possibilities for nautical and recreational activities. And it has a gastronomic tradition specializing in fish and rice.
